How long does it take to install keratin extensions?
Usually about 2–6 hours. I-Tip and Nano Ring require no heat and are secured with beads, making them faster to install. U-Tip and Flat Tip need heat to melt the keratin bond, so they take a bit longer.
How are keratin extensions installed and how long do they last?
There are two main methods: bead application and heat fusion.
- I-Tip and Nano Ring: Your natural hair is threaded through a microbead, the extension is inserted, and the bead is clamped shut.
- U-Tip and Flat Tip: A heating tool melts the keratin bond, fusing the extension with your natural hair.
With proper care, keratin extensions can last up to 12 months.
How often do I need maintenance?
We recommend a salon visit every 6–8 weeks for adjustment and upkeep. At home, follow these tips:
- Gently detangle daily with a wide-tooth comb, brushing from the bottom up.
- Wash your hair no more than 3 times per week.
- Always dry your hair fully after washing, then apply a natural hair oil to keep it nourished.
Can keratin extensions be reused?
Yes. With proper care, they can be reused multiple times.
- I-Tip and Nano Ring: Simply replace the beads.
- U-Tip and Flat Tip: Since the keratin bond is melted during removal, new bonds must be applied by a stylist, which may slightly reduce strand length.
Can I heat style my hair with keratin extensions?
Yes! You can still use curling irons or straighteners, but avoid the keratin bonds. While keratin is somewhat heat-resistant, excessive heat may weaken the bonds and damage the Remy hair. Keep styling tools at a moderate temperature and always use a heat protectant spray.

Yes. For in-stock Genius Weft, the MOQ is 50g. For custom orders, the MOQ is 100g. Both options give you access to wholesale pricing.
Are samples really free?
Yes, our samples are free for licensed hairstylists. Every sample kit includes at least 3 types of extensions so you can test quality and find the right fit. If your country charges import duties, these need to be covered on your side.
What color should I choose, and can you help me match it?
