What is the difference between Genius Weft and Hand-tied Weft?
Genius Weft is the newest generation of permanent extensions. It works for all hair types. Like Hand-tied, it is invisible, natural, light, and comfortable. Unlike Hand-tied, Genius Weft has no return hair and comes at a more affordable price. Hand-tied is best for fine or thin hair that needs extra care. Hand-tied Weft is completely hand-made. It is very comfortable, feels light, and gives the most seamless result. The price is higher.
What is the difference between Genius Weft and Flat Weft?
Genius Weft is sewn onto a fine thread and sealed with polyurethane. The base thickness is under 2mm, making it very light and comfortable. Flat Weft uses a double-stitch onto a silk strip, then sealed with polyurethane, with a base thickness of about 5mm. Genius Weft is thinner and softer, while Flat Weft is stronger and more durable.
What is the difference between Genius Weft and Machine Weft?
Genius Weft is sealed with polyurethane and has no return hair. It looks clean and feels comfortable to wear. Machine Weft is not sealed and has return hair. This can irritate the scalp. Machine Weft is fully machine-made and uses more hair to hold the base. So the Machine weft is a thicker, heavier, and cheaper.
Is Genius Weft suitable for thin hair?
Yes. Genius Weft suits thin hair but not very sparse hair. It adds volume while looking natural and invisible.
Does Genius Weft damage natural hair or the scalp?
No. GISTAR All hair is 100% ethically sourced Remy human hair. Coloring is done slowly with gentle dyes to reduce damage. With no return hair, there is no irritation to the scalp.
Can Genius Weft help with hair growth?
Yes, in many cases. When a professional installs it, the weight is evenly spread. This light tension can boost blood flow in the scalp, which may help new follicle growth.
How should I care for Genius Weft?
Avoid shampoos and conditioners with sulfates. Wash 1–2 times per week. Comb gently with a wide-tooth comb every day. Use heat protectant before styling or blow-drying. Since the base is PU-sealed, high heat may damage the structure. Regular salon maintenance is recommended.
Can Genius Weft be cut?
Yes. Each strand is sewn individually. This means the genius weft can be cut anywhere without shedding. It allows for maximum use and minimal waste.
