What Are Nano Ring Hair Extensions?
Nano Ring is a type of semi-permanent hair extension that features a pre-bonded keratin tip and is installed using a micro-bead application method. It is made from human hair, Italian keratin, and a metal wire about 0.45 mm in diameter.
The metal wire is embedded into the keratin bond, with a metal loop about 0.4 cm long exposed at the top. Nano Ring extensions are installed strand by strand, and each strand weighs about 1 g.
After installation, the attachment points are small and discreet. The extensions are lightweight and comfortable, and blend naturally with the natural hair. They are suitable for a wide range of hair types.
How Are Nano Ring Hair Extensions Installed?
Nano Ring extensions are usually installed by a professional hairstylist. Before installation, the hairstylist evaluates the client’s hair type, hair color, and desired result. Based on these factors, the hairstylist determines the installation areas and the number of strands needed.
Silicone-lined micro beads with an inner diameter of about 1.6 mm are prepared for the installation. Since the metal loop is the main connection point, the micro bead size needs to match it. If the bead is too large, it may not hold the metal loop securely. This can increase the risk of the attachment becoming loose or slipping out.
During installation, the hairstylist separates a small section of natural hair and threads it through a silicone-lined micro-bead. The metal loop at the top of the Nano Ring strand is then inserted into the bead.
The attachment is positioned about 0.5–1 cm away from the scalp. The hairstylist then uses professional hair extension pliers to clamp the micro bead firmly in place. This securely connects the extension strand to the natural hair.
How Are Nano Ring Hair Extensions Made?
Before production, workers sort, organize, and color-match the raw hair according to the order requirements. They prepare a full hair bundle based on the total product weight, color blend ratio, and long-hair ratio.
During production, keratin granules in a color close to the hair are placed in a special heating device and melted completely. Workers then separate a single strand of hair from the prepared hair and weigh it on a digital scale. This ensures that each strand weighs about 1 g.
Next, the melted keratin is evenly applied around the top of the hair strand. A metal wire bent into a loop is embedded in the keratin, with part of the metal loop left exposed outside the bond.
Before the keratin fully cools, the connection area is placed into a special mold and pressed into shape. This forms a keratin bond with a small metal loop at the top.
