What Are Machine Weft Hair Extensions?
Machine Weft is a classic semi-permanent sew-in weft hair extension. It is made from human hair and produced through multiple sewing processes using a Three-head Hair Weft Machine.
Compared with other types of weft extensions, Machine Weft offers higher production efficiency and a more cost-effective solution. It also features a strong structure, flexible cutting options, high durability, and fuller hair volume.
How Are Machine Weft Hair Extensions Installed?
Machine Weft is usually installed by a professional hairstylist. Before installation, the hairstylist will evaluate the client’s hair type, hair color, and desired result to determine the suitable installation area. The Machine Weft is then cut to the appropriate length based on the installation needs.
During installation, the hairstylist may use silicone-lined microbeads to secure the natural hair or braid the hair into cornrows to create a stable foundation. The cut Machine Weft is then sewn onto the foundation piece by piece using a C-shaped needle and nylon thread.
How Are Machine Weft Hair Extensions Made?
Machine Weft is mainly made from human hair, high-strength nylon thread, and a small amount of adhesive. The standard finished weight is 100g per weft.
During production, the raw hair is first sorted, arranged, and color processed. It is then constructed with one base stitch and two fold-over stitches using high-strength nylon thread. Finally, a small amount of adhesive is applied to the Weft Base for extra reinforcement.
The two folding stitches create Return Hair while improving the strength of the Weft Base. With multiple sewing processes and reinforcement techniques, Machine Weft helps reduce hair shedding and allows flexible cutting. However, its Weft Base is also relatively thicker compared with other weft types.
